Inspired by an ARS Technica article. An FKS Massive Videogame Discussion about what makes you quit certain games? Whether it be bad checkpoint placement, bad game design, glitches, difficulty, cheating AI, etc…
Matt has the week off, so Knee, Bryan, Sniper, and Mark are in on this discussion. Later on we also discuss the video game body count, as compared to other things, ie. religion that don’t get called for a ban but video games do. We’re still trying to figure out if falling vending machines have killed more people than the media blames video games for. To wrap up we take a look at upcoming titles we’re looking forward to.

Podcast #21 – Audio Sottishness
Episode 21, WE CAN DRINK! Well, not much considering it’s a Monday. We open this show with one of our favorite George Carlin bits in tribute of his passing. We started with our usual boring small talk chit chat, then go into some follow-up MVD that we covered last week, and introduce our listeners to the infamous Yahtzee of Zero Punctuation on Escapist Magazine. Then in honor of turning 21, we cover some stories involving dummies and alcohol. Then we cover a story from the “She Deserved it Department” that you’d never hear on your local news, and wrap up this one with Bryan’s Vegastravaganza of a story/predicament. We passed the 2 hour mark with this one. Enjoy!

This show became an impromptu fan appreciation day from the onset. The big 20. New Day Mark and Redding of the Generic Show joined us this week, although you could have replaced Redding and his horrible connection with the can of Pringles Mark was speaking into and it would’ve had the same effect. I think Redding is just product placement at this point. We begin this show with an ROD segment about what dumb shit you believed as a kid, then we parlayed that discussion into a story about the ancient Romans using 20 sided dice. So now that Sniper and Knee have been humiliated, we enter the MVD* (Massive Videogame Discussion)*not whatever it is Matt says. We discuss the 7 Commandments All Videogames Should Obey from Cracked.com, and wrap it up with a little movie talk.
