FKS #79 – Malevilynt Takeover
This one is all about MMA. Troy McGovern called in to talk to us about his company, Malevilynce. We talked about the fighters and local MA events, notably Wartown Beatdown 4 at the Worcester Palladium November 13th Featuring a great card including Mike Campbell and freshly signed Mike Zichelle III, and CFX #6 “Rumble in the Jungle” on November 14th in Plymouth, MA where Malvilynce will be sponsoring Damien Trites with the proceeds of his shirts going to the EB Foundation (Epidermolysis Bullosa). Troy also let us know that Ricardo Funch will be sporting the Malevilynce gear in the octagon for UFC 107. Thanks for coming on the show, Troy!

FKS #56 – Stonehenge Moon
Big show this week that no one will listen to… or at least no one will admit to listening to there were 44 downloads of last week’s show… Anyways my new friend that I mentioned a few weeks ago stopped by the studio to help out with this one. Very special thanks to Vertical Matt. Bryan is podcasting from a hotel in Philly, or so he says, and Knee took a visit to spread the word of FKS in Gladstone, Oregon this week, great job Knee! A decent helping of MMA is in this as well as a special surprise, Georges St. Pierre stopped by to discuss BJ Penn’s cheating allegations, and also gave us some insight on preparing Kenny Florian for his upcoming match with BJ. Knee shows off his outstanding interview skills. We also cover the second round of fights in the Flying Knee Show March Madness Tournament, where we finally needed some help from outside the show (Well, we wouldn’t have but the tiebreaker decided to just stop doing his own show and leave unannounced). All in all, great show.

So yeah it was our anniversary, although you wouldn’t be able to tell by our phones, and it’s apparent that we haven’t learned anything yet. This is shaping up to be a pretty good season. We’re still cleaning out some stories from 08. We cover a dummy from my home town that set his house on fire, a 9yr old that got treated like a drug dealer over cough drops, Nintendo’s answer to difficult gaming, the UFC ring card bimbo search for girls that know nothing about MMA, pigeon poop problems, and we wrap it up with 5 things from Knee. Welcome to season 4! Some dummies thought we were on vacation, we’re saving it for the holidays so we can continue to bring the 5 of you a semi-decent show. New season means new intro, and the god damn robot ruined this one… I’ll see what i can do, but to tell the truth i’m lazy. There’s also a new show naming bit that you listeners can participate in, listen to the show for details.
Mark joins us for this one, and fell asleep with Matt and Knee as Brian and Sniper spend a bit of time on a huge week in the UFC. A couple of follow-up stories from the Tech Oopsie department and the ISS broken toilet. Knee shares another bad date story, and it’s… strange to say the least. We also introduced the opening of doors bit in which we start explaining the many inside jokes on the show. We end this one with a new contest, The Flying Knee Shodown (yes it’s spelled right). Contestants will be giving us their own 5 things they hate about people and we’ll be judging them. This week Paul and Mark kick this one off. This was a cluster F of a show, with 75% of us in studio not going over hand signals before the show started, but whatever. 75% of it sounds great, 25% of it was funny. We talked about FKS weekend, MMA, shooting, eating, annoying Knee, bad date stories, and covered some news stories. We also pay homage to Kevin Smith’s favorite number in this one. Our censored show is finally here! Something I didn’t think of when putting this show together was how funny the uncomfortableness would be, especially with Knee trying not to curse. This show is one for the ages, and we will definitely do another. So who won? You’ll have to listen to find out. No voicemails this week from our number 314-BOO-FKS1… that was a hint people. But we did get a call during this show which will be played next week! (I believe that’s called a tease)
We talk about The Ultimate Fighter 8, which, for all you fast forwarders out there, there’s sound clips you don’t want to miss. An 8 foot mechanical ape goes missing, then Knee’s robot hacks into the show due to a little jealousy. I hope you all have brushed up on, or remember if you were an 80’s baby, the$25,000 Pyramid. We played a round with FKS show topics. This one is not to be missed, and you can listen to it with the children present, which is a first for the Flying Knee Show.
