Welcome to 2009 from the Flying Knee Show!

On our first episode of 2009, Sniper decides to redeem his prize that we have to do a show without him. It wasn’t as bad as it could have been, but it could have been much, much better. This is an extremely short show this week (64 minutes), as Knee was distracted by being sick, Matt is distracted because he is in the middle of packing for a move, and Bryan is distracted by shiny buttons. The levels are clearly not being controlled by Steve this week. Please let Steve know you never want him to take a show off again!

As promised, here’s the best of that makes us think Redding is the funniest from the Generic Show. (Don’t go by The Best of Both Worlds Spectacular Starring Redding and Knee… I’m excluding that)

We kick this one off with the last segment in FKS #19 and rolls right into our post show discussion where we come up with more band names. I put beeps in for continuity purposes, there was 2 hours of post show alone, I only kept the relevant stuff. Also, due to Lolo getting me a PS3 for Christmas, and my general laziness, this bad boy is in stereo. Enjoy!

Oh yeah, there is something better, no Matt, and no Bryan, Which, if you were wondering is the reason for the “44.5″ show, only half the show was there, no bit in that title. We cover a couple top 10 games of the year lists, which always suck, and our phones ring off the hook with our fans’ picks. We also discuss some upcoming games of 2009. FKS #40 - Relegation

Welcome to season 4! Some dummies thought we were on vacation, we’re saving it for the holidays so we can continue to bring the 5 of you a semi-decent show. New season means new intro, and the god damn robot ruined this one… I’ll see what i can do, but to tell the truth i’m lazy. There’s also a new show naming bit that you listeners can participate in, listen to the show for details.

Mark joins us for this one, and fell asleep with Matt and Knee as Brian and Sniper spend a bit of time on a huge week in the UFC. A couple of follow-up stories from the Tech Oopsie department and the ISS broken toilet. Knee shares another bad date story, and it’s… strange to say the least. We also introduced the opening of doors bit in which we start explaining the many inside jokes on the show. We end this one with a new contest, The Flying Knee Shodown (yes it’s spelled right). Contestants will be giving us their own 5 things they hate about people and we’ll be judging them. This week Paul and Mark kick this one off. FKS# 39 - Gravity Sucks

Season finale, which I’m sure will make many people happy since that means a new intro. Also plenty of shenanigans in this one. This one starts off with the usual banter, Matt leaves a voicemail in which he’s a week behind as usual, Sniper talks about his Nordic Lodge experience and the recovery of the visit. We then switch modes to some news stories, Chris Leben makes an appearance in a shocker, then a HUGE tech oopsie from the land of the Google. Then we discuss product packaging and what Amazon.com is doing about it. In that mess there’s an ROD about diseases (it’s a good one). Then the show comes to a grinding halt when Knee has to leave for work and puts his intern on mic. We cover an outdated story about using a cattle prod on the unemployed, save the emails, we know that’d be a lot of people now and through no fault of their own. Knee comes back and does the 5 things he hates about people, then a doozy of a follow-up on the xbox kid. This is not one to be missed.

FKS #38 - Boredom

Lots of content in this one, a few seconds shy of a solid 2 hours. This one should have been titled the follow-up show since we had 4 of them. A couple seconds on MMA (there, now it’s not worth it to fast forward), an update to the story Knee wiped his ass with, then we move into some darker territory with a creepy coincidence of an 8 year old boy that killed himself with an Uzi the same day we were shooting one. I congratulate the Phillies only because of the audio I have, then another update on what has become Knee’s weekly PS3 masturbation segment called Little Big Planet. Then more terrible stories about husbands killing their wives, and families killing their children in NY. After that we touch on King of the Hill being canceled, and the fact that no one cares. The bow that ties this one together is 5 things that Bryan hates about people.

I’ve elected to not give this podcast a name, it’s mediocre, take a pass. But since people don’t heed warnings, Bryan took a break this week… Well, his internet did and I’m sure he’s not happy about it. Starbucks wasn’t helping our pal segue himself onto skype. It’s times like this I wish we all lived close enough to do the show in the studio. But alas, Sid E Burns filled in for Bryan. This was a short one, we wished our buddy Mike from Westchester Questionmark a very happy birthday, Knee ranted about the delay of Little Big Planet and later went into a mini - MVD. We quickly hit on the Kimbo slice fight from a couple weeks back, and Dana White’s reaction. There’s a problem with the space station, and we wrap this up with 5 Reasons Sniper Hates People. Thanks to Sid E for filling in.

Our censored show is finally here! Something I didn’t think of when putting this show together was how funny the uncomfortableness would be, especially with Knee trying not to curse. But we did get a call during this show which will be played next week! (I believe that’s called a tease)

We talk about The Ultimate Fighter 8, which, for all you fast forwarders out there, there’s sound clips you don’t want to miss.
