Podcast #24 – The Massive Arcade Videogame Discussion
It’s finally here! Show 24, our Massive Arcade Video Game Discussion, and you’ve been warned it’s certainly massive at 10 minutes shy of 3 hours.
This puppy is all about the arcade. We cover general arcade memories, our favorite arcades, favorite arcade games, then it gets a little depressing when we bring up the arcades we used to go to and if they’re still there. We then discuss what killed the arcade on a personal level, then as a whole. Then talk about the arcades of today and finally arcade preservation, either old school classic arcades like Ground Kontrol or through emulation like MAME.
We finish this one up with the Video Game Audio Challenge, where game audio is played and the rest of the crew has to guess the game for a point value. We did this in such a way that you can play at home. You’ll just have to listen. Send us your scores!
Podcast #23 – Sorry Mark
While this podcast was named during the recording, it’s much more prevalent as I just realized I forgot Mark had told me he took a day off of work next week to do our MAVD, which is our next show, which I’ve also pushed back another week. Sorry Mark! I suck.
This was a silly cleanup show of sorts, we covered some old news stories and 1 new one we didn’t get to. Knee goes on an impromptu rant about reality TV, finally cover an USPAP (s) and we talk about the demise of Mark’s car. A shorter than usual show this week at an hour and 20 minutes. Enjoy this one as we’re taking next week off completely for preparation for our MAVD show which is planned for the 27th.

In our usual inconsistent nature this was supposed to be a short show… About an hour and a half shorter. But, I digress, It’s a decent show. Right off the bat we discuss UFC , so most of our users, fast forward the podcast to 31:05. That begins our 2 hour movie roundtable. We came up with unusual categories for best and worst movies, such as Best movie you didn’t see until recently, Movie you will never turn off if you flip to it on TV, Worst movie you like / Movie you are embarrassed to like, and others. Of course in true FKS fashion we bring this one full circle with Best and worst movie made from a video game. In all an interesting discussion, we’d love to hear some of our listeners answers for these categories, either send an email to , or you can record your answers and reasons and send that in too, we’ll play it on the podcast!

Episode 21, WE CAN DRINK! Well, not much considering it’s a Monday. We open this show with one of our favorite George Carlin bits in tribute of his passing. We started with our usual boring small talk chit chat, then go into some follow-up MVD that we covered last week, and introduce our listeners to the infamous Yahtzee of Zero Punctuation on Escapist Magazine. Then in honor of turning 21, we cover some stories involving dummies and alcohol. Then we cover a story from the “She Deserved it Department” that you’d never hear on your local news, and wrap up this one with Bryan’s Vegastravaganza of a story/predicament. We passed the 2 hour mark with this one. Enjoy!
